Victorian and Edwardian Scotland in Colour is the working title for John Hannavy's reflective look at how Scotland was depicted in photographs and postcards 100-170 years ago – and it will be his fifth book to focus specifically on his native Scotland. The new book is thematically-based, and explore smany aspects of Scottish life between 1840 and the outbreak of the Great War. It is illustrated primarily in colour, using Victorian and Edwardian photographs, and tinted Edwardian postcards.
